Berthoud is a quaint town located halfway between the cities of Ft. Collins and Denver, about 11 miles north of Longmont. With about 6000 people, the community is tight-knit with well-rated schools. With an abundance of trees, open space, and mountain views, Berthoud has been nicknamed the “Garden Spot of Colorado”. This town is on a growth spurt with substantial commercial and residential development planned for the coming months and years.

Notable points about Berthoud: 

  • Berthoud downtown offers independently owned coffee cafes, restaurants, boutiques, antique shops, salons, and art galleries.
  • Go fishing or boating at Loveland Reservoir, bring a picnic to one of the seven parks, or play a round at the TPC Colorado Golf Course.
  • Local attractions include the Little Thompson Valley Pioneer Museum, Bein Park Baseball Complex, and Little Thompson Observatory.
  • Easy access to Boulder, Ft. Collins, Loveland, Longmont, and Greeley.
  • The Berthoud Area Transportation System (BATS) provides door-to-door service rides within Berthoud for only $1, as well as trips to nearby Loveland and Longmont for $4. Riders over 60 are free.
