Opening their doors in 2018, Dryland Distillers is a true Colorado business. They utilize local and native ingredients “true to Colorado” to create their flagship spirits all while working with local engineers, metallurgists and fabricators to create their custom stills and cooling/HVAC system.
Dryland Distillers creates small batch, original spirits using their custom stills with ingredients sourced right here in Colorado. They then work with another local company to malt their grains and mash their own ingredients.
Utilizing native and local plants and ingredients is only one part of what makes Dryland so sustainable. With the help of a local engineer, they have also created a high efficiency cooling system that utilizes BTUs from making their spirits to heat and cool their entire building. Their dedication to sustainability and efficiency won them the “2021 Most Sustainable Business” award from PACE (Partners for A Clean Environment). They are also working to achieve the difficult task of obtaining their LEED certification to officially recognize their efforts and achievements.
