Story - Happy Day Plants, located in Downtown Longmont, exists to provide quality houseplants, educate plant owners and serve as a community gathering space. Owner, Jessica Birmingham, has been a long time lover of plants. Recently, the Birmingham family’s eldest daughter, who happens to have Down Syndrome, graduated high school. It quickly became apparent that opportunities for young adults with disabilities moving into this next stage of life were few and far between. It was through Jessica’s love of plants, her dream of opening a plant shop and her passion to find meaningful life and job opportunities for adults with disabilities that Happy Day Plants was born.
It is our goal to not only provide unmatched customer service and source beautiful healthy plants, but create meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities in a caring and supportive environment. Thank you Longmont for helping us care for a plant and grow a community.
